David Debiak Jr In a modern world in which '90s era dream pop has been emulated to the point of being watered down and soulless vibe music, Tallies reminds me of why I fell in love with the genre in the first place. Tallies isn't, "The Sundays" or "The Smiths". Tallies is Tallies. It's their genuine sense of love for what made those acts special to begin with that shines through in this album's substance, heart, and sonic bliss - and beyond that sonic bliss, a feeling that you are never alone in your lonely. Favorite track: Catapult.

PlayItLoud! Sounds like 90's band Cockteau Twins. Research tought me the Label is owned by their former bass & guitar players.

pj1517 Favorite song: Am I the Man!!!

Wound Up Tight - A stomper for Tallies which is an extremely nice addition to their typical light twangy melancholy discography. I do wonder if I hear hints of Madonna's Ray of Light in the chorus? l love this song from Tallies and all others with immense joy and admiration! Favorite track: Am I the Man.

Scrunched up time, crashes deep. It fills my mind, with aches and needs. Can’t step outside, my sky’s incomplete. I’ll live right here, between. The duvet and the top sheet. I don’t want to wake up, I just want to lay back down. I know, it’s not the way I planned it. I don’t want to need you, I just want to stay face down. I know, it’s not the way I planned it. No counting sheep, no dreams of fayres. Light bending sheens, on braids of hair. Shapes of wheels, with grooves so deep. Myself just feels, unknown. I’m laying here breathing. I don’t want to wake up, I just want to lay back down. I know, it’s not the way I planned it. I don’t want to need you. I just want to stay face down. I know, it’s not the way I planned it. If I’m just here unused, will I lose track of my time. So simple just to move, I know, it’s not the way I need it. I don’t want to wake up, I just want to lay back down. I know, it’s not the way I planned it. I don’t want to need you, I just want to stay face down. I know, it’s not the way I planned it. If I’m just here unused. Si simple just to move. I know, it’s not the way I planned it.

I’m tired of believing, what’s right or deceiving. We’re left alone unable, with feet on the ground. I’m spent with emotion, riptides of commotion. I’m swept away, unable. My voice with no sound. I’ve tried to believe it, I’m caught with no reason. To fix my faults alone now, I’ll dodge them all night. I’ve run from the felling, lost time years of teething. A taste of days alone now, A room with no sound. I didn’t, I didn’t, I didn’t, mean to leave you there. I’ll bend your heart to grow. To curve with all the tares. See what you’re doing. See what’s around. See what you’re doing. Your heart’s underground. I’m awake with more dreaming. I’m safe from deceiving. We’re not alone, just able. With feet on the ground. I’m soft with commotion, riptides of devotion. I’ve swam across alone now. My voice on my side. See what you’re doing. See what’s around. See what you’re doing. Your heart’s underground. I didn’t, I didn’t, I didn’t mean to leave you there. I’ll bend your heart to grow. To curve with all the tares. See what you’re doing. See what’s around. See what you’re doing. Your heart’s underground.

You are just a stitch in the fabric of our time. Your temperament doesn’t suit your tie. You’re making me so. Wound up tight. You’re making me so. Wound up tight. You’re making me so. Wound up tight. You are just a stitch in the fabric of our time. Your temperament doesn’t suit your tie. You’re making me so. Wound up tight. You’re making me so. Wound up tight. You’re making me so. Wound up tight. Wound up tight. Is it obvious. Is it obvious. Stitch, time. You’re making me so wound up tight. You’re making me so wound up tight.

Catapult 03:38
Back again. I’m rolling over slow. Swift, still no expression. Even if I mirrored, even if I left alone. I’ve been here once before. I knew then, you wilted all the ways. You tip toed all the way. I’m left with all to blame. Even if it’s all over. Even if you fall, you have the choice. Do you love again, do you love again. Even if it all catapults. Reeling in reasons, focused alone. I’m a drifter now. Been here once before. A moment of needing your touch. Along my side at night. I’ll kiss your hands goodbye. But it is said, hold on. I tried on that shoe, I knew. It didn’t fit. Even if it’s all over. Even if you fall, you have the choice. Do you love again, do you love again. Even if it all catapults. I noticed a feeling of time. I’m hopeless of knowing. When to cry. I’ll kiss these, walls behind. I’ll kiss these four walls goodbye. Even if it’s all over. Even if you fall, you have the choice. Do you love again. Even if it all catapults.

So you leave me on your nightstand. The feeling is so cold. And I beg, for your warmth. Can’t see through your darkness. The shadows of your storm. And I run, through the smog. Cause I’m big, I’m small. I’ll fit where you want. I’ll love you whole, as long. It’s said and done. I’m scared, you’ll run. I need your heavens touch, around. The hiding comes with reason. Tense shoulders in a row. And I sway, to calm you down. There’s silence in your breathing. The feeling is so thin. And I beg, for your touch. Cause I’m big, I’m small. I’ll fit where you want. I’ll love you whole, as long. It’s said and done. I’m scared, you’ll run. I need your heavens touch, around.

Special 04:35
It’s easy to be special, are you. It’s easy to be kind. I wanted to be special, are you. You’re always on my mind. I wanted to be thankful, are you. I need it all the time. Without you I’m not thankful, are you. A special sip to try. Does it make you feel. Feel inside. Can you feel. Can you feel. Feel and want to give it up. Can you feel. People say I’m special, are you. Still calling all the time. Does that make me special, are you. A special kind to try. Does it make you feel. Feel inside, can you fee. Can you feel. Feel and want to give it up. Can you feel.

Memento 04:26
Old soul, young start. Years apart, you’re growing. Dusty rooms, dusty hearts. Echoes in your empty cupboards. Living in, living out. Trying to make up for losses. Crowded eyes, crowded hearts. Give it time. Give it comfort. Got to get you on your way now. Got to bring your back up today. Got to get you what you weigh now. Got to bring you on up today. Got to get you what you weigh now. Got to bring you back up today. Got to get you what you weigh now. Got to bring you on up today. Wasted on, wasted time. Feel the curve, start running. Thicker skin for softer hearts. When you let in, you let in comfort. Checking in, checking out. A keychain memento. Tear-stained pillowed hearts. Moving in is moving closer. Got to get your way now. Got to bring you back up today. Got to get you what you weigh now. Got to bring you on up today. Got to get you what you weigh now. Got to bring you back up today. Got to get you what you weigh now. Got to bring you on up today. It’s the only way. Got to get you on your way now. Got to bring you back up today. Got to get you what you weigh now. Got to bring you on up today. Got to get you what you weigh now (sad that it’s over). Got to bring you back up today (when I wish it would last). Got to get you what you weigh now (a mistake to say goodbye). Got to bring you on up today. Sad that it’s over. When I wish it would last. A mistake to say. Goodbye.

Am I the Man 03:21
There was a day when. The snow was cold, when it hit my face. I didn’t feel it. I didn’t realize, we couldn’t see to place. Why you took us to the lake. Why we left our love to wait. The lake was frozen. The words were cold, as they hit my face. I didn’t feel it. I didn’t realize, you couldn’t seem to place. Where it took us to the lake. Where we left our love to wait. My mouth is unspoken. Our concrete is broken. Am I the man, in the stream. In the stream. I counted forward. I counted safe. But in these circles, still no place. Around the corner, around the bend. I’m certain we are at the end. When you took off from the lake. When you left our love to wait. My mouth is unspoken. Our concrete is broken. Am I the man, in the stream. Am I the man.
9.
Don’t look back. You started over. You’re waiting a while a now. It’s finally safe to say, life comes undone. You started over. Shooting in the sand, your grains will spray. Flying with no posture. With the heat you sway, moving with the pain. Your suits will dry someday, leaving all the tethers. When your life is not over. Sweeping your mistakes. Shame will fade, you’ll be laughing longer. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love. You learn to love lonely. You learn to love.
